My name is Offutt (sounds like "off it") and I am a Wellness Coach, Group Excercise Instructor, and a NASM-certified Personal Trainer. I believe that to be truly healthy we must address the mind, body, and spirit. I have devoted my life to helping people achieve balance and wellness through fun, impactful workouts, healthy eating, and freedom of expression.
You may have seen me coach swimming at the Y, lead my signature Water FUNK Aerobics classes at Lake Isle, fitness classes in Bronxville, Pelham or Mount Vernon, or biking around town.
Whatever your wellness goals are, I can help:
I believe that Fitness should be FUN, or else you won't stick with it. Whether you prefer to work on land or in the water, in private sessions or group classes, I will find a way to make you smile while you're getting healthier.
Remember, if you're not having FUN, just get Offutt!
Water can be a fun and low-impact part of your healthy exercise routine. Whether you swim laps, groove to old school Motown in my signature Water Funk Aerobics classes, or simply walk through the shallow end to improve your balance and build muscle, consider that we all come from water and it has a soothing effect on all humans.
Afraid of the water? I can help! Our bodies are 65-78% water; we are water in human form. We were meant to enjoy its healing properties.
Water helps the body feel weightless and buoyant while providing a natural resistance to movement, making it a perfect medium for rehabilitation and fitness training. Water exercises can help tone muscles, increase range of motion, ease arthritis pain, improve joint flexibility, relieve muscle spasms, decrease inflammation, facilitate low-impact aerobic exercise to support weight loss, and speed recovery from injuries allowing exercise to begin sooner than on land. If you have any type of arthritis or knee, neck, shoulder, or hip pain, get in the water! It will change your life!
As a NASM-certified personal trainer and 20 years in the Fitness world, I am uniquely suited to help you achieve your fitness goals. My holistic approach includes cardio, strength training, muscle confusion, and stretching to keep workouts interesting and progress steady.
